The MWA team, in collaboration with the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC), Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and the Niassa Lion Project recently immobilized 14 elephants in Niassa Special Reserve to deploy GPS/VHF collars.
This aligns with ANAC's conservation goals, including real-time monitoring of elephant movements, anti-poaching efforts, proactive human-elephant conflict management, and gaining insights into population dynamics.
Gratitude to ANAC, WCS and the Niassa Lion Project for their support, this initiative signifies a crucial step in the ongoing commitment to preserve Mozambique's diverse wildlife
