Transboundary Conservation Efforts: Giraffe Monitoring and Rhino Protection

Last week, our field teams, in partnership with Sabie Game Park, completed a critical four-day operation focused on two key conservation priorities:
6 giraffes collared in collaboration with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF), supporting a transfrontier evaluation of giraffe herds moving between two countries (Mozambique and South Africa). Tracking these movements is vital for understanding connectivity and shaping future conservation planning across borders.

4 rhinos dehorned with the support of the Rhino Recovery Fund, part of a proactive strategy to reduce poaching threats in one of Mozambique’s most vulnerable areas for rhinos.

By combining field expertise, strong partnerships, and decisive action, we are helping secure the future of iconic species across Mozambique’s critical conservation landscapes.
Thank you to our partners at Sabie Game Park, the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, and the Rhino Recovery Fund for making this possible.
