One of the six tortoises recently under our care, a juvenile hinge-back tortoise, was successfully translocated and released into Maputo National Park.
Following assessment, the animal was deemed fit for release, allowing for its safe return to a protected natural environment.
Translocations like this are critical to ensuring the survival of vulnerable individuals, particularly younger animals, giving them the best possible conditions to grow and contribute to the ecosystem.
Each successful release is a direct step toward strengthening wildlife populations and maintaining ecological balance.
