Human-Wildlife Conflict prevention starts with people - and last week, our HWC team was in the field making it happen.

In Magude District, we moved between communities, sharing knowledge, building practical skills, and strengthening farmers’ capacity to prevent and respond to conflict with wildlife.
Over several days, we reached 363 participants - 118 men and 245 women - across six locations:
Moine (Administrative Post) – 93 participants
Moine – Duco Community (Association of Elders United of Duco) – 77 participants
âž¡ While there, we also identified a potential site for a future Protected Farming Community.
Mahel – 96 participants
Nguinhane (Mahel) – 21 participants
Chivonguene – 58 participants
Panjane – 18 participants
These sessions go beyond delivering information. They are moments of dialogue and connection, where we hear directly from farmers, understand the challenges they face, and witness their determination to protect both their livelihoods and the wildlife they live alongside.
