Six months into 2026, we're sharing our first 6 Months of Impact report - a look back at what our teams, partners and communities have been working on across Mozambique since January.
A few of the moments behind the numbers:
29 elephants collared, strengthening real-time monitoring so communities can be warned when animals move close
11 endangered African wild dogs safely returned to Karingani, and a lion lifted to safety from a village pit latrine in Niassa
993 families now farming behind protective fences, as our Protected Farming Communities network grew to 18 operational sites
800+ people trained in preventing and responding to human–wildlife conflict - with communities increasingly leading responses themselves
Human–wildlife conflict shifts with the seasons, rainfall, harvests and animal movements - it's never solved, only managed, day by day. What this half-year shows us is that prevention, monitoring and community partnership, working together, can make a real difference on the ground.
Sincere thanks to ANAC, our donors and partners, and the communities who make this work possible.
