Incomati Rengue
Moamba District

Chanculo Agricultural Association, situated in Moamba, 64km from Maputo in Southeast Mozambique, borders South Africa and is nourished by the Incomati River.

This river, flowing from South Africa, serves as a vital water source for farmers and a drinking point for elephants and other mammals. The region's alluvial soils are perfect for banana production, and buffalos are often seen in the area.

We have installed an electric fence protecting 15.2 hectares, with 9 hectares currently cultivated, collaborating with 45 families. This initiative safeguards crops and promotes sustainable farming in Moamba.
